Thanks Mom!

Now that I have grown and realized that my parents don't hate me, in fact just the opposite, I have a great desire to be just like my mom. This year for thanksgiving  I again volunteered to take rolls to thanksgiving. My mom has this roll recipe that EVERYONE loves. Last year they didn't turn out that great (the bottoms were almost burnt) so I wanted to try again. This year I almost botched them again but thanks to my mom who was on the  phone with me the entire time I caught the mistake early enough to start over again. I also figured out out to push the dough through my hands just like my mom does :D Anyway They turned out Perfectly!!! :) Here are some pictures so you can be jealous you didn't get any!

This is how many one batch made plus one more. It fell on the floor... so i tried it. Delicious!

Better than Halloween

So I really wanted to post our Halloween pictures here this year. But I damaged the files. If you would like to read more about that, here is my other blog. But anyway here is something better.

This is the link for a video BYU Magazine did on James' class/teacher of James' class...the class James works in. If you look close you can see James' arm and torso for a second or two in a part of the video. James says it should be on lds.org too but havent been able to find it there yet.

Anniversary #2!

We had our second anniversary this year! It was a fun time and a great stay-cation. I have been meaning to write about this ever since but I just haven't found the time! Anyway. This year our anniversary was on Monday so we got kind of an extended weekend. We decided this year to go up to Salt lake and spend the weekend there. It was a great weekend.

This is us just leaving for our stay-cation anniversary trip!

We went up Friday night and had dinner at In-N-Out in AF cause I love it and it was just off the freeway. We stayed at the Red Lion Hotel Friday and Saturday night and then the Marriott over by the UofU Sunday night. Both were great hotels but the bed at the Red lion was more fluffy. Why two different hotels you ask? Well cause we decided to use priceline name your own price you give them an area and they pick a hotel, and of course you have to give them a good price they will like too. I think the rooms we had were well over $100 per night but we named our price at I think $60/night. We decided to add Sunday and did it again and got the different hotel. We didn't click the add another night button fast enough I think. Still fun though.

*Fun fact. On all of our Anniversary trips...and our Honeymoon. We have never stayed in the same hotel the entire time :) Makes it funner I guess, mix it up a little.

So Saturday we got up and had breakfast at McDonald's and then went over and did a session at the Salt Lake Temple! What a great experience it was! Then we had lunch at the temple. Always a favorite, the food they make at the temple is DELICIOUS love it. Then we walked over to the museum and the Family History Library and also Temple Square. We also went over to the beehive house (Brigham Young's House) and then a tour of the Conference Center. It was a nice tour. There was a couple on our tour of the conference center who was from Boston that after the tour James and I went to dinner and got sat at the table booth right next to this other couple. I think it was JD's we ate at, like the couple said, "It was close and we were hungry". Kind of fun.

James in front of the Church History Museum

Marjorie in front of the Family History Library...yeah yeah, I know I should get busy on that. But just for the record I did not plan this picture, we were just having fun taking pictures!

Marjorie in front of the Assembly Hall

James the Stud with Joseph and Hyrum

Marjorie in front of a fountain and the Temple

James' cute face and the Temple!

I think this picture shows how small I feel against the temple, although while in side I feel my strength grow as large as the temple!

Picture of the Temple from inside the Conference Center

The Roof of the conference center...yes i road the Elevator up and All the way down!

Us in front of the Temple, our sister missionary tour guide was kind enough to take our picture.
P.S. the necklace I'm wearing is the one James gave me on our first anniversary :)
Sunday we got up and drove up and went to Sacrament meeting and Sunday school with Grandma Hart and then went back over to her house to just hang out and be with her. It was good to see her! Then we stopped at Chili's on the way to our hotel for some dinner. It was really good dinner. And as we were leaving the waiter said hope to see you soon and James being the tactful person he is said probably not :) The poor waiter said oh I'm sorry was it something I did? James said no we are from Orem. :)

Monday we got up had breakfast at Denny's got home. Napped and then got up and went to the Scera Pool. That was a fun time. Haven't been swimming in a while. All in all it was a great weekend and I can't wait until our next!...And we are still living Happily Ever After!

Just A Few Pictures With A Little History

I felt the need to share these pictures probably because I haven't blogged in a while. So the Sunday after Christmas James and I went to go visit Grandma and Grandpa Hart. It had been a while since we had seen them. We had a good visit with both of them. Even though Grandpa is kind of losing it. It was still nice to see him. Anyway. When we got to Grandma's house she wasn't there and she came back because she forgot her tithing. Apparently she was just running over to the church real quick to give it to the bishop. Anyway we went with her over to just drop it off. Some how we got on the subject that James' parents were going to be out of town that week and he wasn't going to have any work. Grandma said well you can come work for me. :) She is so cute. Well honestly I couldn't tell whether she was joking or serious but apparently she was serious cause we went home that night and James' went back up from Monday to Wednesday. So anyway here we are to the pictures. Grandma sent James home with a lot of stuff, some of it kinda random...yellow T.P. (not used, hahah), spam, and a few other things. Anyway some of the less random stuff she sent James' home with I thought I'd take a picture of and take it to grandma. She likes pictures you know. So I also thought I'd share them with you.

The picture on the right is the one that Grandma sent James home with. Grandma gave him a couple of choices and that is the one he picked. So Beautiful!

This picture is a picture of the quilt that Grandma gave to us. She is so good at what she does, I guess that's where I get it from, well at least part of it. ;) (The painting over the bed is also one of Grandmas.)

This is a picture of one of our dressers. Those to cute kissing figurine's are from Grandma also. They are so cute they are bobble heads and apparently they were her mother's before her. And the lips magnetize together. So cute. So since we have a kissing picture that we had taken for our reception I thought how cute they would be together. Don't think you can see our pictures to well but the one behind the bobble heads we are kissing. The other to are "leading up to" the kissing one. I know I'm a cheese but I love it.

This last picture shows the quilt a little closer but really is for the pictures on the wall. We had pictures on the table at our reception and I wanted to hand them up but the frames they were in were not hanging able so I found the cutest picture frames at work on clearance for 50 cents. They were able to hang so I bought them. They are cute but I'm not sure the colors from the frame to the wall match. Oh well one day I will be able to design free. (Have my own home). And of course the flower picture on the right is one that Grandma gave me when I was a very little girl! In fact I really don't remember a time without it. But I love it so much. It has a special place in my heart as do all of the things that Grandma has so graciously given to us.

I am so grateful for the generosity that has been shown to James and I by Heavenly Father. He has given James and I each other and with that a very giving, loving and caring family. We are so grateful for the generosity that Grandma has shown us in giving us such great reminders of my family. I see these things and am reminded of her and our family and the history we have and also that we are making. We are still discovering the past history, it will probably be a life time pursuit but hopefully we can carry on the work that she and others have started. Learn more about where we came from and learn and teach the future generations that are to come.

Moving and HGTVing

Since I am up early this morning and it is quiet I thought I would take a minute to blog. Our family moved to the beginning of August. It went very well, getting the stuff from point A to point B. It only took two trips and three hours. Thanks to those guys from our ward that helped us. What a blessing that was! Packing was difficult, you never know how much stuff you have until you have to move it. And right now it's only just the two of us. We did almost have one mishap. Our large desk slid off the back of the trailer but no one was hurt including the desk, well maybe just a little on the desk. Here is a picture of the damage.

In her new apartment we have two bedrooms, the second bedroom is our office. I was concerned that the desk would not fit through the door. When the guys helping us move were trying to get it through the door and just barely fit by a smidge. So the joke is, maybe not so much of a joke, that's when the desk fell off the trailer it shaved off just enough to fit through the door. Ha ha.

So there is not a whole lot of counter space in our new apartment or cupboard space so we had to use bookshelves for some cupboard space. In our old apartment we had HGTV and I w
ould watch it all the time. So with these bookshelves I wanted to put curtains on them so that everything would not be exposed. HGTV shows gave me the idea to use curtain clips. Mom and dad came for Sean's baby blessing and while they were here mom helped me pick out the material for the curtains and makes the curtains. Here are some before and after pictures:

AFTER

Here are a few other pictures mom took of our apartment. Good thing I cleaned before they came!

This is our new apartment. It is in the basement of a home. Before when I lived in a basement I told myself I would never live in the basement again, but that didn't happen. This basement apartment is perfect for us right now. It is a little bit bigger than what we had before so that we have room to grow. The best thing about this new apartment is that it is cheaper than the last place we lived.

Our Wedding Day

I thought it would be appropriate since I had a few minutes to write about our wedding day. Today is our 1 year anniversary. And honestly the last year has been the best year of our lives. We have had our ups and downs as every married couple does but I am so grateful that James and I have the love we have and the understanding of each other. Life is meant to be hard and I am without words grateful that I have such a fun and loving companion and partner!

Well as you can imagine I didn't get a whole lot of sleep the night before. I think I went to bed about 2 a.m. and that was because my wonderful and loving friend made me. There was so much to still do and I wanted to help do it. Dad was trying to fix my computer so that we could get our sign in book printed. Still didn't have the music put together which was done by two loving friends. But they still made me go to bed! I was so excited my mom came in and helped me calm down and get to sleep. James on the other hand got to bed early, so he would be able to get up on time!

My alarm went off at 6 a. m. Got up showered, got ready for the big day and off to get my hair done. Gosh I do remember that being such an early morning! Planned to have a nap later that day. Haha yeah right, who was I kidding. Anyway. The girl that did my hair was one of the girls in the ward that did hair. Here are a few pictures from getting ready! James got up and saw that it was raining and hoped it would be a good day weather wise...and it was.

While I was getting my hair done of course I wasn't really in the mood to eat anything but the fabulous mom that I have fed me breakfast. Wheat bagel dipped in peanut butter. I sure hope I can be like my mom cause honestly that probably saved my day! Your the best mom! And Mom got her hair done too! So cute! Love it. After my hair was done it was time to head to the temple. And needless to say it looked like this the on the way into the temple. (And it was raining too!)

I wanted to cry!! Well anyway when I got in the temple James was waiting for me! I sure do love that man, James. His friend that had come up all the way from Arizona dropped him off at the temple. My mom was there to help me get ready and into my princess wedding dress. Being with my mom in the temple and her helping me is some thing I wouldn't trade for the world. The sealing was beautiful. I wish I could remember more of what the sealer said to us but unfortunately I am only human. Then that was it. We were sealed together for time and all eternity. I can't even express how I felt. I'm sure James felt the same way. We both had been down very difficult paths and had come together. We are both perfect balance for each other! After the sealing was done, I was on my way back to the dressing room and someone said, "Hi, Sister Webb" to me. It was kinda weird but I loved it! Then it was time to head out side for pictures. Well to say the least I was kinda sad cause I thought it was still raining outside but to my surprise It wasn't.

Not only had it stopped raining but by the time we were finished taking pictures the sun was out and it was a beautiful day! Right after the above picture was taken there were lots of people taking pictures. It was kinda fun cause well it felt like we had our 15 minutes of fame. Kinda. I have so many pictures that were taken that day I wish I could post them all but I can't. My uncle and cousin were our photographers and they did such an amazing job! I just love all the pictures! Thank you. Here are just a few of our favorites!

So on to the Luncheon. James' mom put this together for us. I don't remember what we had something with chicken and mashed potatoes, but I remember it being DELICIOUS!! It was so good! When we got there finally and sat down. We said the blessing on the food and while we were eating James' dad stood up and introduced his family. Then my dad introduced my family. Then James' introduced us :) Kinda funny cause everyone already knew who we were ;) Funny thing though was James' introduced me as Marjorie Hart and every one started laughing someone said something and it took James a minute and then he said Marjorie Webb :) I think that is one of my favorite parts of the day cause when he said Marjorie Hart I didn't catch it either :)

This is Grandma Hart. I am so glad that I got to share my wedding day with her. Grandpa wasn't able to come but I am so grateful that she got to come. She is such a beautiful lady! I can't wait to be as cute as her! Here are some more pictures from the luncheon.

After the Luncheon we were going to take a nap. But of course this didn't work out. We ran over to James' parents house to get James' bag for the honeymoon and then it was time to leave to go up to the reception for pictures. So much for a nap. I wasn't really feeling tired anyway. I didn't have time to. It was fun taking pictures at the reception site before the reception began.

The reception was beautiful. It was so well done! I really don't know what to say about the reception other than that. There were alot of people that came to see us. It was such a joy to see all the people that came to support us! Alot of the people I didn't know cause they were people that James knew but I did know a few.

The man that sealed us! :) James' Great Uncle. I kinda always wanted to be sealed by a family member and when James said he had two great uncles that were I was really excited. The man behind him is the other great uncle that is a sealer.

James' Grandma was also able to come. It was a blessing to have her there because we didn't have her around for much longer after that.

We did all of the traditional things. Bouquet toss, guarder sling, cutting the cake, dancing with dad and mom. And I have pictures but honestly I have so much on here its taking a long time to get pictures on here.

Over all it was a day We'll never forget and don't ever want to forget!

Here is to the last year of marital bliss
and the next infinity to come!

Our First Date...and a few others

James and I met in the beginning of August in 2008. Our first date wasn't until the 29th of January 2009. I also remember a few other things about that week. Monday after FHE was the night I got his phone number and when we started texting back and forth. He wasn't a big texter (still kinda isn't) but he remembers me telling him that he would get the hang of it. He even still has some of our first texts on his phone...Cute! I know :) His family even noticed that he was actually texting. I think Tuesday night which would have been the 27th I went to Institute in the carpool they had going. James came and got me at my door and I hadn't quite finished putting my shoes on and he commented on my socks and how cool they were. They were my pink heart ones. Anyway when we got home he walked me up to the door and honestly for me it was kinda awkward because when he left he said something to the effect of..."I like being with you." I thought that was kinda weird but at the same time I was kinda excited cause well I liked being with him too. Well anyway Thursday came around and I think I had been at work all day and he had been at school or doing homework or something and of course I knew the text was coming because I knew we both didn't have anything to do that night. James remembers thinking that he just wanted to ask me on a date. And thinking that was kinda weird because he never just called a girl to ask her on a date. So he picked me up. It was kinda snowy out side and part of the parking lot was iced over so he actually parked in the handicapped spot. Good thing he didn't get towed! :) Anyway I got into the car and we were on our way. Not exactly sure what we got talking about. I think he asked me where I wanted to go for dinner. I said well since you've grown up here take me to a place that is kind of a hole in the wall thats really good that you like. Then he said well I actually didn't grow up here. BROWNIE POINT NUMBER ONE!!! I was so excited that he wasn't from Utah! Well then he explained that his family had moved to Utah when he was about 15. We ended up going to Los 3 Amigos for dinner which is a place that I liked to go. When we pulled into the parking lot he mentioned that his dad patched the hotel that shared the same parking lot. Interesting. For dinner I think he had Enchiladas and a chili relleno (sp) and I had my same thing chicken chimichunga with rice and beans. Conversation was good. We both didn't eat a lot but comes to find out later that we were both nervous. I think we both or at least I ended up taking left overs home. After dinner we drove back to my place and put my food in the fridge and went out side for a nice walk. We wanted to finish the conversation we had been having in the car. It was a nice walk around the apartment complex on kind of a cold evening but it ended well! James remembers having fun and that we laughed together. We pretty much spend every day together after that until I went to California in May for my friends wedding. If you want to read the post I did about 3 weeks after our first date HERE is the post. There are a few pictures there too!
